How it works

The Tivizen mobile TV tuner has a small, extendable and extremely robust aerial that receives the DVB-T (Freeview, or DTT) signal. Tivizen transmits that TV signal over to your iPad, iPhone, or computer by creating its own Wi-Fi hotspot. Tivizen can also join your existing home network and will appear as an available tuner to all computers & iPads on your network.

When you use the USB cable to connect Tivizen to your computer, Tivizen behaves just like a traditional USB tuner stick and is not reachable via Wi-Fi.

The WinTV-HVR-900 includes a portable digital terrestrial antenna, which can be used when traveling (dependant on reception). When used in the home or office, we recommend a high gain roof top digital antenna.
